Batora: Lost Haven – Overview
Batora: Lost Haven focuses on 16-year-old Avril, a reckless girl who has lost everything, just as the world around her is dying. This fast-paced adventure requires Batora to use her mental and physical state to her advantage, in order to save the world from oblivion. Journey with Avril as she faces challenges and enigmas – where the decisions made will change the fate of our protagonist.
When a disastrous event strikes the Earth, Avril witnesses the death of her older sister, Rose. After this, Avril and her best friend discover two amulets, intrinsically linked to two, unknown entities. Thus begins her quest to save Earth. Throughout the story, Avril will have to develop and acquire both physical and mental powers that will support her in her feat to save Earth.
However, in order to do this, our key player must travel to four planets. Each of which will be guarding an elemental essence. During her journey, Avril will learn of the thin line between good and evil in each of the four worlds (Gryja, Huav, Mahdzam and Lume). Ultimately, her path will be determined by the decisions Avril makes when she learns the true nature of betrayal, friendship and sacrifice.
Batora: Lost Haven is a role-playing game (RPG) which mixes hand-painted visuals and a non-linear narrative. The decisions of the player will not only affect your own fate – but alter the course of all the creatures who inhabit the universe. We’re sure that the unique storytelling technique, combined with stunning visuals, will captivate audiences upon release.
More About the Studio Behind Batora
Stormind Games is an award-winning studio, whose main focus is on ‘intense stories’. The developers pride themselves on creating games with distinctive visuals which are easily recognised. This has led to them also winning awards as the ‘Best New Studio’ and for being an ‘Outstanding Italian Company’, over the past few years. They have previously developed the RPG, Remothered: Tormented Fathers, winning the ‘Best Italian Game’ award on its first release year.
The studio was founded in 2016 by Antonio Cannata and Federico Laudani. Their first games were based around their Remothered Saga before announcing Batora: Lost Haven in January 2021. Unlike other studios, Stomind Games conducts market research first and foremost. They then use this data to create games that stand out from competitors.
